We went to our ward Christmas party tonight and it was alot of fun. We had some good food, sang some Christmas songs and some people from our ward put on a nice little play along the lines of Twas the Night Before Christmas but it was centered around Christ and not Santa. It was nice. Then of course, Santa showed up for all the little kids. Amelia saw Santa and got as excited as all the other little kids around her. She jumped up and rushed over to give him a big hug (that's Amelia's face right in front of his belt buckle). 
Nathan was super excited when Santa walked in and wanted to say hi to him. 
Of course, this was all from the comfort of his dad's arms. When it came time to get his picture taken with Santa, he was not too happy about it. Even when they tried to give him his goody bag, he got mad, yelled no and hit it out of the guys hand. 
Poor little guy...I don't think it traumatized him too bad cause he was still excited about Santa on the way home. Amelia was so impressed with Santa, she almost forgot to tell him what she wanted for Christmas. Remember on the movie A Christmas Story how Ralphie was so much in awe about Santa that he couldn't talk. Well that was how Amelia was. When I reminded her to tell Santa what she wanted she got so excited and made sure to tell him all about it. It was too cute.

That is so funny! Our kids are so much alike!
Leah also was excited to see Santa, but then practically froze when she sat on his lap. On the way to our breakfast with santa, she was planning on singing him a song and had a plan of what to ask for. Once she got on his lap, all she told him was that she wanted a toy.
Ryan had a scowl on his face the whole time and we got a very similar picture of him on Santa's lap.
Dallan "knows" about santa, so he wasn't interested in sitting on his lap even for a piece of candy.
I love this time of year!
I still remember Nathan's reaction to Santa last year :] Looks like you guys had fun!
