Amelia's First ER Visit
Last night Amelia was going to be sleeping over at our neighbors house. They share the duplex with us so if there was any kind of problem, we were right there and it was no big deal. Well she went over there to eat dinner with them. They were having spaghetti and peas. Both are things that she has eaten before. Krysten (my neighbor) even came over and made sure that Amelia wasn't allergic to anything. They sat down to eat dinner and Amelia had eaten about 2 bites of peas and Krysten looks at her and her eye was getting all puffy. It got worse in a matter of minutes so Krysten brought her home. I thought it was strange so I gave her some Benadryl thinking it was an allergic reaction and hoping that would help. So we sat talking for a while and her eye still hadn't gotten any better and the other one started to puff up a little. So we decided to take Amelia to the ER. This is what her eye looked like when Justin left to take her.
They said that it was an allergic reaction to something and then they gave Justin a bunch of medicine to give her. Here is a picture of her eye this morning. It is still swollen but it is much much better.

Her eyes are gorgeous, so I am happy that things are OK!!!!
Glad everything is okay. We've never had to take Mack to the ER, yet (knock on wood), but I'm scared for when we might have to. Like, what if I don't take him soon enough or what if they laugh at me when I get there because I shouldn't have taken him at all? I think I'll just call my mom and she'll tell me if I should take him or not.
Whew! After the blog title I was crazy scanning to make sure she was ok. ER visits.. scary! I'm so glad that she's alright!
WoW!!! Her eyes look like mine when I was a child. When spring came my eyes would swell up like that or if a mosquito bit me around my eyes. My mom would wash out my eyes and then put cold towels over my eyes and give me Dristan,(I don't even know if they make this anymore). She would constantly tell me not to rub or scratch them. Poor Amelia she looks so miserable. I am glad that all is well. Gotta love that blue eyed wonder.
Poor sweetheart man i know how she feels. Give her a big kiss for me and tell her I love her.
