My Poor Nursery Kids
A few weeks ago, someone brought some graham crackers for the nursery. They brought 4 boxes and I was pretty stoked. I mean, unsolicited snacks delivered right to me. So once the other snacks ran out, I busted open one of the boxes and was handing out the crackers with the goldfish. But none of the kids would eat the graham crackers. I just thought that maybe they didn't like graham crackers as much as they liked the goldfish. I didn't think anything else about it. Then jump a week later (this last Sunday). We were handing out the snacks again and Chayden, the sweetest boy in there, wanted some more goldfish, but we told him if he wanted more, he had to eat his cracker first. So he did and we gave him some more goldfish. Well the sister who was helping me out had her 1 year old little girl in there with her. And she REFUSED to eat the cracker and she started to cry when we tried to get her to eat it. So I thought, I wonder if these are ok. I took one teeny tiny little bite and I almost threw up. They were rancid! I looked on the box for the expiration date and it was Oct 2007 on every single box. So we threw them out in the dumpster outside so no one would fish them out to feed to other poor unsuspecting little kids. And then I remembered about Chayden. The poor little boy had been such a trooper and had eaten his whole cracker. I felt so bad for the poor kid.

Amelia's eyes are so pretty!!!
What a great story. The kids had some intuition there-I mean, what kids wouldn't eat yummy graham crackers!
