We had the ultrasound today.
The ultrasound technician asked me what my gut was telling me and I told her that it was saying girl. I have had a girl vibe from early on. It was the same type of feeling that I had with Nathan. There was something inside me just saying girl. There was no real reason why, I just thought it was a girl. When she started the baby was bent in half. Literally. Both feet were up over her head and both legs were straight. The blur just under her foot is part of her head.
So the technician tried to see everything that she could. Since she was in half she couldn't get a good view of the heart, stomach or spine. All things that were important. So she measured the head and made sure that everything was ok. Then she got desperate. She had me roll onto my side so she could come at the baby from a different angle. It was a little uncomfortable but it got the job done. We were able to see that this baby is indeed, a girl.
Amelia has been so cute about it. She has been saying that she has a brother so now she wants a sister. And she was telling everyone that she has a sister. Now I guess she can say that and actually be right. We got a pretty good picture of the baby's nose and mouth.
She has some huge lips. I can't wait to see what she looks like. I am so excited and strangely it just all seems so much more real. As if the kicks and the nudges weren't enough to verify it. lol

Congratulations! That is exciting what you are having a girl! Do you have any names picked out yet?

What?! You live in Hawaii?! We moved back to Henderson last summer and I was gonna say let's plan a play date, but I'd guess we'd have to meet in Seattle or something. :) It's so fun to see what you guys are up to and your kids are adorable! Congrats on your baby girl... I'm due early March so we'll find out gender in October. Anyway, I'm so glad you found me and I look forward to keeping in touch! Tell your hubby "hi" for me.

Okay, I'm a doofus! Seattle? I guess it's obvious I haven't looked at a map since high school. San Diego or the middle of the ocean I guess would be a more appropriate meeting spot for our play date. So, you up for it? :)
