Nuuanu-Judd Trail

So we have been itching for a few weeks to get some real hiking in but we didn't have the right gear. Nathan is still too young/small to be walking as far as we wanted to hike so we needed 2 carriers. We finally ordered one on Amazon and we set to go. We decided on doing the Old Pali Highway Hike but once we got up to the Pali Lookout we changed our minds. The wind was blowing so hard that it literally about knocked me over. I was scared to go walking on a windy hike with a baby strapped on my back. So we headed over to the Judd Trail (since it was really close) and decided we would do that one even though it is short (only .75 miles). About 1/2 was through, it branches off onto the Nuuanu Trail. I had completely forgotten about that! So since we had decided to get some really good hiking in, we took off up the mountain on that trail. We ended up hiking for about 4 hours. Amelia was a real trooper and didn't complain once! She walked and had a good time look at all the different plants. Nathan started getting antsy about the last 30 minutes. He was ready to be done. And who could blame him? We let him outa few times to walk around when we had breaks but not really for very long. And Lily was in her carrier for even longer. So she had reason to be upset with us about 1/2 way through the hike. But switching carriers helped with that. She just needed some extra room to sleep. It was way past her naptime.
