Going home for Thanksgiving

Justin and I have been trying to figure out for some time now (sine we got our tax return back in February) if we could afford to go home and if it was feasible. So we planned and planned and thought about it a ton. Well we decided that it was well worth it since it has been over a year (and will be two by the time we go) since we have been home. Then we had to wait for Justin to get leave approved and now it is all set. I bought the tickets and made all the reservations. We are for sure going to be there. We will fly in late November 23 and be in Henderson through December 2nd. Then we will drive up to Salt Lake and spend some time there with family. I am so excited. It has been even longer since we have seen my family and is long over due.

That is exciting that you get to come home for the holidays! I bet it is hard being away from everyone . . . then again, you are in Hawaii so how hard can it really be? We will have to get together when you come to Henderson, it would be great to see you guys.

Is it better or easier for your family to fly commercially rather than space A?

Allison

Yes, a mac flight and hop and space A are all the same. We have done it before from Andrews AFB in DC to Travis AFB in CA. You're right, you do need to allow a couple of extra days of leave to travel that way. It worked out for us because we just drove from Travis to Vegas. That way saves us a lot of money, but honestly, there is no way to avoid spending a lot of money when traveling that far. If you ever want to try a space A flight, let me know and I can give you some tips.

That's awesome! Hopefully we'll see ya when you're here. The new police substation is on Sunset just up from Moser. I think we just walked down Allen or Margarita or one of those streets to Sunset crossed sunset and we were there. It's so nice that it's close to our house. Clint thinks he might try to get on a North squad so he can be close to home, but it might take a couple years, since everyone wants to be at the new station. :)

Yay!!! See you then!
