How do I hate thee? Let me count the ways. Your smallness; 800 sq. ft. is not much room for a family of four. Your noisy A/C that in the middle of the night humms a strange humm. Your leaky bathtub which will not hold water for more than 10 mins (when a toddler is taking a bath, not very long at all). Your thin walls; when a neighbor runs their water, you can hear it as loud as if you were running the water yourself. Your leaky A/C that has a drip pan (which is actually a pot) that has to constantly be drained. Your stinky sink that will forever smell like something has died down it. Your thin front door which has 3 locks on it (which is supposed to make me feel secure), but is so thin that anyone with a foot could smash it in. Your over-all dust smell that no matter howmuch Febreeze or how many plug in air fresheners I use, STILL smells like old dust.
Can you tell that I am not too fond of our apartment? There are a few good things about it. It has a brand new fridge. It is cheap enough that we are making money on our Basic Housing Allowance. It is near where Justin is working so we can be together as a family. And all of that other crappy stuff that I have to put up with is well worth taking if we can be together. Also, Justin is back on days starting today! WOOHOO! Now we can get back into our "normal" routine. It has been driving me crazy not having things the way that I am used to.
